Data Retention Policy (Cookies)

Who we are
Our website address is: https://bkbtechsro.com/

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the information provided on the comment form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to Gravatar to determine if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may consent to the storage of your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that when you leave another comment you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to see if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

We will also set several cookies when you log in to store your login details and screen display options. The login cookies last for two days and the screen selection cookies last for a year. If you choose the “Remember me” option, your login will last for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an article, another cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal information and simply indicates the post ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata is retained indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognise and approve any further comments, rather than keeping them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they have provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). This information can also be viewed and edited by website administrators.

What rights do you have over your information

If you have an account on this website or have left a comment, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not apply to data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor visited another website.

These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, insert other third party tracking, and track your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your information with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

Where your data is sent
