MANDÍK, a.s., a leading Czech manufacturer of fire protection technology, ventilation components and air-handling units, approached our team with a demanding task – relocating their Kardex storage systems into newly prepared production and warehouse space. Given the scale of production and the wide range of components MANDÍK processes daily, it was essential that the move be carried out quickly, safely and without disrupting operations.
Before starting the physical work, our team carried out a detailed on-site inspection together with MANDÍK’s representatives, covering both the existing Kardex storage systems and the new premises. The goal was to verify dimensions, floor load capacity and the availability of electrical connections, and to plan the most suitable relocation route to keep disruption to production to a minimum.
Preparations also included a thorough inventory of all stored material and components, ensuring that nothing would be misplaced or lost once the systems were back in operation.
The relocation began by disconnecting the Kardex systems from the power supply and gradually dismantling them into transportable units. Each part was carefully packed and labelled to avoid any complications during reassembly.
Once loaded onto the transport vehicles, the convoy set off for MANDÍK’s new premises. Both the route and the handling procedures were planned in advance to minimise the risk of damage to sensitive components.
Upon arrival at the new premises, our team, working together with MANDÍK’s technicians, began reassembling and installing the Kardex systems. Every component was carefully re-checked and connected according to the original specification.
After assembly was complete, the systems were tested — gradually started up and verified to ensure they performed with the same reliability as before the move.
Once all storage systems had been successfully tested, the new hall was fully ready for operation. MANDÍK’s team praised the speed and precision of the entire relocation, despite the scale of material involved.
The project for MANDÍK, a.s. joins our growing list of successful relocations, confirming once again that careful preparation combined with an experienced team allows even large and sensitive storage technologies to be relocated without unnecessary downtime.
